It was a dreary and rather ordinary day in Seattle. I met up with Nicole and Matt in Capitol Hill for their Volunteer Park engagement session and they quickly warmed up these shots with their enthusiasm and smiles. Everyone can be a model if they go into the shoot with the right mindset!
This was a great location to shoot. The park is very old and historic and there are some neat buildings on site. There’s an old watertower, the Asian Art Museum and a Botanical Conservatory here as well. I really liked the doors to the AAM and use them in the first few shots. Seattle’s park system is so vast and there a ton of great locations available for us to shoot at, pretty spoiled out here in the Pacific Northwest!
I really enjoy working with couples who’s style appears to be collaborative, or complementary. I loved Nicole’s white dress, it caught the wind and added so much flow and movement to some of these photos and the color palette of Matt’s clothing really worked well against the lush greens of the park.
