Camano Island is beautiful…let me back up a bit.
I had never been to Camano Island before this wedding. I was blown away at how rural and home like it felt. Tara and Tyler were married at Tara’s family estate. They own a great chunk of land and they have developed a few homes on it where their family lives. I can’t begin to explain all of the little details of their property, it’s gorgeous.
Tyler and Tara are both in the food biz and they are also craft beer enthusiasts, and their styling reflected that. From the boutonniere that contained hops, ornamental peppers and decorative cabbage to the custom labeled hot sauce and of course…the whole roasted pig. The whole vibe was very much mexican cantina meets rural farmhouse wedding.
One of the biggest mistakes a lot of couples make is not having a back up plan, and unfortunately we had to execute plan B for most of the wedding due to a TORRENTIAL downpour. Luckily we had tents set up and moved the dancing into the garage. It was a hindrance but only slightly and I really don’t feel like it took away from the wonderful wedding these two planned. The rain broke briefly for the sunset and we were able to grab a few portraits in that wonderful warm glow.
