An offbeat affair, a Ballard tavern wedding. But the charm of that isn’t lost on me. It was intimate, it was rambunctious and it was thoroughly unique.
A few months back I shot engagement photos for Kelsey and Carter (view them here) and I’ve been very eager to shoot their wedding. I cannot express how genuine this couple is. I’ve known Kelsey for most of life and she has always been a kind and caring person. She was a big part of my childhood, in fact when we were both in second grade my sister held a ceremony for Kelsey and I to be married, it happened in the cul de sac we lived on, I gave her a costume ring. But alas our marriage was not meant to be! That being said, I cannot think of a more perfect match for her than Carter.
The wedding took place in Ballard, WA (just outside of Seattle). The wedding party got ready at The Ballard Inn which has such a nice Victorian charm to it. We had some great window light so I went shutter happy while they were getting ready. The ceremony was held at The Sunset Tavern, Kelsey and Carter wanted their wedding to be a party so they rented out the joint and we partied hard!
I loved working with this couple and I have ties with them that go beyond being a hired gun to shoot their wedding. I hope them the best in their lives together 🙂
Great picks and a wonderful service,,,,100 years of happiness to the both of you—–Love the Enyearts—
