Kate and Ryan held a fun and romantic wedding at the tastefully eclectic and beautiful Red Cedar Farm in Poulsbo, Washington on a warm August day. Not all farm style weddings include goats and chickens in a clean enclosure and this one certainly delivered. Red Cedar Farm has a lot to offer in terms of spaces to get ready and also to shoot – including a rustic farmhouse, dining and dance hall, greenhouse, gardens and game room with classic pinball machines to play. The owners of the property have their antique collections on display and everything is very tasteful and works with the vibe and style of the venue.
Our couple had a gathering of their families and friends who got to play cornhole and games on the lawns while enjoying beverages before and after the ceremony. I witnessed Kate whoop butt on numerous rounds of cornhole. A delicious pizza dinner hosted by Fat Zach’s pizza was a crowd pleaser. Pizzas are baked on site in their mobile wood fired oven adding spectacle and flavor to their pies, their pickle pizza is one to be sure to try.
The clean style of the venue and the delicate design choices made by the couple paired very nicely to create an elevated farm style experience. We coordinated a sparkler exit for Kate and Ryan which created some excellent photos at the end of the day. We had a lot of fun working together on this event and it was a breeze to shoot when everyone is having fun!
