Whenever I get the chance to photograph a dog, I take it.
This session with Brooklyn and Shiro took place during a studio day in Tacoma, and it was an easy yes from me. We had a small window of time, but that’s often all you need—good light, a relaxed environment, and a dog with personality.
As a Tacoma dog portrait photographer, I love working in studio settings like this. It keeps the focus simple and lets expression, movement, and connection take center stage.
Shiro brought plenty of personality, and Brooklyn made it easy to capture those moments naturally. Sessions like this don’t need much structure—just a little space to let things unfold.
Natural light always helps. It softens everything and brings out the details that make these portraits feel honest and timeless.
