Olympic National Park Engagement Photographer | Amanda + Brett

Amanda and Brett’s engagement session took place along the Washington coast at Second Beach near La Push in Olympic National Park, on a brisk spring day in April.

The weather kept things interesting. Rain rolled in unexpectedly, and we had a mix of shifting light throughout the session—but honestly, that’s part of what makes shooting in Olympic National Park so good.

As an Olympic National Park engagement photographer, I always tell couples to expect a bit of everything. The changing weather, the dramatic coastline, and the scale of the landscape all come together to create something unique every time.

Despite the conditions, Amanda and Brett leaned into it. They handled the wind, rain, and cold without missing a beat, and it paid off.

The sun eventually broke through, giving us a brief window of warmth before dropping quickly. Once it set, the temperature shifted fast—typical for the Washington coast—but we kept things moving without rushing the experience.

What stood out most was how quickly they settled into being photographed. It never felt forced. Just two people showing up, trusting the process, and letting the environment do its thing.

Sessions like this are always worth the effort—the long drive, the unpredictable weather, all of it. The beaches near La Push, especially Second Beach, offer some of the most striking landscapes in Washington for engagement photos.
